Service

The Octane is a management platform for restaurants and bars: smart inventory with alerts and reorder forecasting, daily sales close, supplier orders and reordering, staff scheduling, time-clock and tips, calendar, reservations and floor plan, digital QR menu, HACCP and L-GAV compliance, and business intelligence. The service is provided as-is and as-available.

We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.

You may not share your account or use The Octane to store data you are not authorized to process.

Acceptable use

Do not use The Octane to store sensitive personal data beyond what is needed to manage your inventory, staff shifts and tips.

Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or stress-test the service without prior written consent.

Subscription and payments

While we charge nothing, The Octane is free and no payments are processed.

The Octane is offered through the Octane One plan at CHF 349/month (or CHF 3’490/year), VAT excluded. When you first create your organization you get a 14-day free trial, no card required.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. You can cancel any time from the app; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe; your card details never reach The Octane's servers. Except where the law requires otherwise, amounts already paid are non-refundable.

We may change prices with reasonable prior notice; changes do not affect the current period.

Reservation deposits (Stripe Connect): if you enable card guarantees for reservations, no-show charges are processed on your restaurant's own Stripe account and The Octane keeps NO fee on them: the full amount is yours.

Charges against cards saved as reservation guarantees must always be executed from The Octane, so the reason and the amount stay on record towards the guest. Charging those cards through another channel is a breach of these terms.

Payments terminal: when you use The Octane's terminal, a 1% platform fee applies to ELECTRONIC takings (card, TWINT and similar). Cash carries no fee. The money reaches your bank account at the frequency you choose.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Octane is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service.

Our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim (zero until launch).

Governing law

Swiss law. Jurisdiction at the seat of The Octane (to be determined before launch).
